Job Description


Astera Software develops and markets Centerprise, a data conversion and integration product. Over the past two years, Centerprise has been adopted as a mission critical platform by a number of Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.

We are gearing up to launch the next generation of Centerprise product and looking for a senior level Product Marketing Manager to lead the overall marketing and evangelizing effort. The position is based in Encino, California.

Ideal candidates will have a strong product marketing background preferably in ETL, Data Integration, and Application Integration space. An in-depth understanding of online marketing is required.

As part of a small, fast-paced team, the individual will drive initiatives for building sales pipeline including web advertising and affiliate marketing, enhance company and product exposure through evangelizing and through leadership, and develop a solution based marketing focus for Astera’s products. The individual will work closely with customers, partners, sales, and engineering to develop, execute, and refine marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape in data migration, define target segments, and key messages
  • Work with customer on building case studies and develop a feedback loop
  • Develop and communicate Astera’s value proposition, positioning and messaging for data integration
  • Deliver high-impact sales tools and marketing content
  • Build and monitor the sales pipeline
  • Evangelize Astera’s solution to customers, partners, analysts, press, other influencers

Required Experience:

  • Experience in the data/application integration, ETL, or ERP space
  • Experience with online marketing including SEM and SEO 3-5 years of experience in professional services or enterprise software marketing
  • Experience creating marketing content that demonstrates compelling business value for customers
  • Track record of success in delivering enterprise software solutions
  • Experience supporting sales and business development efforts with customers and partners

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Candidates are encouraged to submit web links, sample whitepapers and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of business and technical depth
  • Ability to analyze customer and market requirements and trends
  • Ability to create clear positioning and differentiation for enterprise software products
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task
  • Able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a team

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in technical discipline
  • MBA preferred
