Data Quality
Rather than blindly moving data from one point to another, Centerprise contains
powerful features to help in maintaining data quality. There are rules that
can be attached to a transfer to ensure that every record conforms with a strict
criteria. For data already transfered,
Centerprise 3.0 provides comprehensive
logging to assist finding out exactly what wen wrong with a record; right down to
the field level.
Data Quality Statistics
Can you trust the data you are importing into your systems? No? Then,
Centerprise 3.0's data quality rules might be something you may want to take a look
at. Using Astera's built-in proprietary Rules Engine framework, you can write
validation rule expressions that each and every record will be checked against.
These criteria defining expressions can be simple or complex giving you vast possibilities
of what kind of business rules you can implement. You can attach as many rules
as you need and activate or deactivate them at the click of a check-box. Best
of all, you can click the "Preview" button to get a snapshot of how closely your
data conforms to your business logic.

Data Profile and Logging
Every transfer run with Centerprise produces a transfer log file or .profile
file. This file contains everything needed to dissect and analyze a transfer
right down to the field level. Statistics about what the maximum, minimum
and how many null values were encountered are all available. If a record fails
a validation rule, it is recorded here. In short, Centerprise gives you insight
as to what is going on with your data every step of the way.
