Mapping

Centerprise provides automatic and flexible user-controlled mapping that features:

• Auto-mapping, which allows for a quick mapping of source and destination based on field-name or field-sequence matches
• Direct mapping
• List and database lookups
• Expression based mapping using the easy-to-use Astera Rules Language.
• A collection of built-in transformation functions and the ability to add custom functions.
• One-to-many data transformation, which normalizes or flattens your incoming data.

Data Validation

Centerprise gives you the ability to create rule-based validation rules on your source and destination to help you identify missing, inconsistent or erroneous data.

Validation rules flag individual records with errors and provide summary level profiling information in the Data Profiler.

Deal with Format Inconsistencies

With Centerprise, you can easily handle inconsistencies in incoming file formats, including missing or incorrect field headers, columns out of sequence or extra headers. During import, you can choose to enforce strict compliance, or use headers or sequence to match up your incoming file to your internal standards.

Rules Language

Centerprise features a declarative rules language, similar in syntax to Excel formula language, which can be used to create filters on your source data and define validation rules on source and destination data. The rules language is especially useful while building mapping expressions and calculations.

The filter and validation rules flag skipped records as well as erroneous ones, and provide summary level profiling information in the Data Profiler.

Data Profiling

Data Profiling provides aggregate and record level information about the composition and quality of data. Aggregate level information is generated for source and destination and provides statistics such as:

• Total records, records with errors, records with warnings, etc.
• Statistics for individual fields including errors, warnings, minimum, maximum, nulls, etc.
• Depending on the level specified by user, record level information including source record, destination record, and error and warning messages.

Connectivity

Centerprise 2.0 supports various file formats including:

• Fixed length files
• Delimited files
• Excel files
