EDI 146 Educational Testing and Prospect Request and Report

    January 6th, 2022

What is an EDI 146 Request for Student Educational Record?

An EDI 146 Request for Student Educational Record (Transcript) notifies about the status of a prospective student who has applied for admission to an educational institution.

The data contents and format of the EDI 146 transaction set are used for the electronic interchange of information, which may contain the following:

    • Degrees and diplomas awarded
    • Courses completed with grades earned
    • Present academic status
    • Dates of attendance
    • Student’s identification information and personal history

Workflow for the Exchange of an EDI 146 Request for Student Educational Record

An EDI 146 Request for Student Educational Record is exchanged between educational institutions. Both the EDI 130 and EDI 131 are issued in response to an EDI 146. It is used to exchange academic records along with other educational information. The student records must be made available to the prospective institution to help facilitate the admission process. An EDI 146 extracts the required information and sends to the institution that has requested it.
